Service-Specific Refund Policies

Because different services have different characteristics, our refund policies vary by service type. Here's what applies to each service we provide:

🚛 Septic Pumping & Maintenance

What's Covered:

  • If we fail to pump your tank as agreed
  • If our equipment damages your property (covered by insurance)
  • If we miss scheduled maintenance appointments without notice

Resolution:

  • Service issue: We'll return to complete the job at no additional charge
  • Property damage: Full repair through our insurance
  • Missed appointment: 25% discount on rescheduled service

Not Refundable:

  • Service call fee if tank doesn't need pumping (we still performed inspection)
  • Pumping service after work is completed (tank is empty, service delivered)
  • Additional costs for difficult access or unexpected complications (discussed before work)

🏗️ Septic Installation & Replacement

What's Covered:

  • System fails to pass health district inspection (our error)
  • Installation doesn't meet specifications in signed contract
  • Workmanship defects within warranty period (1 year)
  • Material defects (manufacturer warranty honored)

Resolution:

  • Failed inspection: We correct all issues at no charge
  • Workmanship defects: Full repair within warranty period
  • Material defects: Replacement per manufacturer warranty
  • Major installation error: Full correction or refund of affected portion

Not Refundable:

  • Change of mind after work begins (materials ordered, excavation started)
  • Permit fees paid to health district
  • Issues caused by homeowner modifications or misuse
  • Normal settling or minor grade adjustments (included in our service)

🔍 Septic Inspection Services

What's Covered:

  • We miss a major defect that's discovered within 30 days
  • Inspection report contains factual errors
  • We fail to provide promised documentation or photos

Resolution:

  • Missed defect: Full refund of inspection fee
  • Report errors: Corrected report within 24 hours + 25% refund
  • Missing documentation: Provided within 48 hours or 50% refund

Not Refundable:

  • Inspection findings you disagree with (we report what we observe)
  • Issues discovered after you purchase property (we inspect condition at time of service)
  • New defects that develop after inspection date

🔧 Septic Repair Services

What's Covered:

  • Repair doesn't solve the diagnosed problem
  • Same issue recurs within 90 days
  • Workmanship defects in repair work
  • Parts failure within manufacturer warranty period

Resolution:

  • Unsuccessful repair: We'll try alternative solution at no charge or refund labor
  • Recurring issue (90 days): Additional repair at no charge
  • Parts failure: Free replacement under warranty
  • Our mistake: Full correction or refund

Not Refundable:

  • Emergency service fees (you still received after-hours service)
  • Diagnostic fees (we provided assessment even if you decline repair)
  • Different issue develops after repair
  • Damage caused by homeowner after our repair

🌱 Drain Field Services

What's Covered:

  • Drain field replacement fails to pass inspection (our error)
  • New drain field fails within warranty period (1 year)
  • Installation doesn't match engineer specifications
  • Grading or drainage issues from our work

Resolution:

  • Failed inspection: Corrections at no charge
  • Warranty failure: Full repair or replacement
  • Spec deviation: Bring to compliance or refund difference
  • Grading issues: Correction within 30 days

Not Refundable:

  • System overload from excessive water use
  • Failure due to soil conditions beyond our control
  • Landscaping preferences (we restore to original grade)
  • Permit and engineering fees

General Refund Terms

Cancellation Policy

  • Before service: Full refund if cancelled 24+ hours before appointment
  • Same-day cancellation: 50% service call fee (we dispatched truck/crew)
  • No-show: Full service call fee applies
  • Weather cancellations: Full refund or free rescheduling

Deposit Policy

  • Installation deposits: 50% refundable up to 7 days before work starts
  • After 7 days: Non-refundable (materials ordered, permits filed)
  • Material deposits: Refundable if materials not yet ordered
  • Emergency services: No deposit required

Refund Processing

  • Request timeframe: Must request within 30 days of service
  • Processing time: Approved refunds processed within 7-10 business days
  • Method: Refunded to original payment method
  • Partial refunds: Available for specific issues

Warranty Coverage

  • Labor warranty: 1 year on installation work
  • Parts warranty: Manufacturer warranty honored
  • Repair warranty: 90 days on repair work
  • Exclusions: Damage from misuse, neglect, or modifications

How to Request a Refund or Report an Issue

Don't wait - call us as soon as you notice an issue. Many problems can be resolved quickly with a return visit.

We'll review your service records, photos from the job, and technician notes. If needed, we'll schedule a follow-up visit to assess the situation.

We'll propose a fair resolution within 48 hours, which may include:

  • Return visit to correct the issue (most common)
  • Partial or full refund
  • Credit toward future service
  • Third-party evaluation (if there's a dispute)

Dispute Resolution

If we can't reach a resolution through normal customer service channels, we're committed to fair dispute resolution:

Third-Party Inspection

We'll agree to an independent septic professional's assessment. If they find our work was deficient, we'll correct it at no charge and reimburse the inspection cost.

Health District Involvement

For installation or permitting disputes, we'll work with the local health district to ensure compliance with all regulations.

Mediation

Before legal action, we're willing to participate in mediation to find a fair resolution for both parties.
